Aeration
Aeration is a process of putting holes in your soil to improve air circulation, water and nutrients, which will promote root growth, resulting in a healthier and lusher lawn.
Solid tine areation can improve water absorbtion through spiking.
Hollow tine aeration creates large holes to improve drainage, root development and reduces compaction.
Using professional equipment we will ensure your lawn is properly aerated to give you the best results.
Why does soil compaction occur?
Soil compaction occurs when weight is placed on soil and can effect all types of soil. It is a common issue in residential lawns, stunting growth over time and stops your lawn looking its best.
Good soil should allow water, air and nutrients to move freely through it. If the soil is compacted it stops these essential components from keeping your lawn strong and healthy.
Spotting the signs...patches of water logged lawn, pale-coloured patches will show where nutrients and water are not passing through. This is showing you your lawn would benefit from aeration.

When to aerate?
The best time to aerate is when the soil is moist, therefore generally, in Spring and Autum and after rainfall.
How oftern to aerate?
Generally every 1-3 years, depending on soil compaction. You do not want to over aerate and preferrably not leave it longer than 3 years.
